Although Revelstoke is known for its beautiful alpine scenery and year-round recreational opportunities, the city is also a culinary delight. Begbie Breakfast Café inside the Regent Hotel, diners can start their day with a content belly as they bite into hearty meals like omelettes or lighter fare such as bowls of fruit with yogurt and granola.

The Main Street Cafe serves traditional breakfast plates like bacon and eggs and morning treats such as French toast. Diners feeling like Chinese food can choose from places such as the Hong Kong Restaurant, which serves fried rice, chop suey, ginger beef and other zesty Chinese specialities.

Although Japan is an ocean away, visitors don't have to jump on a plane to experience delicious Japanese cuisine. Kawakubo Japanese Restaurant offers an assortment of Japanese dishes such as sushi and teriyaki, while Paramjit's Kitchen's menu features both mouth-watering Indian dishes and tasty German fare.

FAMILY-FRIENDLY

Customers searching for a restaurant the whole family will enjoy have several options in Revelstoke. The western themed Ol' Frontier Family Restaurant, located in the Frontier Motel, features a brick fireplace to warm up next to and a lively patio to soak up the sunshine. Adults can order big eats like 10-oz sirloin steaks and baked pork back ribs, while children can go for hot dogs, grilled cheese, peanut butter and jam sandwiches and other fun eats from the restaurant's kid's menu.

Three Valley Lake Chateau, about 19 km (12 mi) west of Revelstoke, also offers terrific family dining options. The chateau's Monashee Dining Room serves breakfast, lunch and dinner selections and a children's menu, while the Three Valley Lake Chateau Cafeteria is a self-serve restaurant with muffins, cookies, cereals, sandwiches, chili and other foods.
